Firewall
My first movie I went to this year was Firewall on Good Friday. First impressions? It wasn't bad. It was entertaining and well paced. But what did we learn about Hollywood films? They follow a certain format.
Hero emerges -> Problems crop up -> Problems solved -> Happy ending
Firewall is not saved from this formula, format. Its just another Hollywood film, what do you expect? But I also noticed a few, uh, "flaws". For example, the main character played by Harrison Ford, Jack Stanfield, connected to the net using a laptop while somewhere on the road in the city of Seattle. Later on, he was shown on a COUNTRY road and STILL able to connect to the net to trace his dog's GPS collar. The producers really expected me to believe that eh?
Cinematically, the shots were good. Your typical action movie. Where did they get the name Firewall from though? There's no mention of one...
FILMED @ 7:00 AM
